Addressing Pending Verification Cases in Polytechnics
"JAMB highlights high rates of unresolved verification cases at various polytechnics, urging swift compliance."
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has identified a backlog of pending verification cases across several tertiary institutions, necessitating urgent attention from the school administrations and affected candidates. According to recent data, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa leads with 222 pending verification cases, followed by Kaduna Polytechnic with 220 cases, and Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic with 131 unresolved instances. The verification process is a critical part of the admission security architecture, ensuring that candidates' credentials align with the information provided during the UTME registration. Unresolved cases can lead to significant delays in the admission process, potentially leaving affected students in limbo. JAMB has urged the management of these institutions to fast-track their validation processes and requested that candidates who have been flagged for verification to check their status via the official JAMB platform. Students are advised to cooperate with their respective admissions offices to ensure that their records are cleared. Failure to resolve these issues promptly could jeopardize the chance of being offered admission for the 2026 academic session, making proactive engagement with the institution's admission unit a priority for all applicants.
