The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Over 2.2 million candidates who sat for the exams can now access their scores.
To make this process as stress-free as possible, JAMB has provided two primary, official channels to check your results: a quick SMS method (no internet required) and the online eFacility Portal.
Method 1: Check via SMS (Fastest & No Internet Required)
This is the easiest method and works on any mobile phone (including basic button phones).
(Important Warning: You must use the exact phone number/SIM card that you used to register for JAMB. If you use a different number, the system will not recognize your request.)
How to do it:
Open your phone's SMS/text messaging app.
Type UTMERESULT (one word, all capital letters).
Send the text to 55019 or 66019.
Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime on your line to cover the network service charge.
Within a few minutes, JAMB will reply with an SMS containing your scores for each subject and your total aggregate.
Method 2: Check Online via the eFacility Portal
If you want to view your detailed result page on your smartphone or computer, you can check it directly online.
Visit the Official Portal
Open your browser and type efacility.jamb.gov.ng directly into the address bar. Avoid search engine clones or phishing links.
Log In to Your Profile
Enter your registered email address and password.
Select "Check UTME Result"
Once logged in, click on the Check UTME Result option from your main dashboard.
Input Your Registration Number
Enter your 10-digit JAMB Registration Number in the space provided. Double-check for typos.
Click "Check My Result"
Your subject breakdown and total score will load on the screen. Take a screenshot or save the page immediately.
Troubleshooting Common Portal Issues
"Result Not Available" / "No Record Found": This usually means your exam batch is still being processed and uploaded. Results are released in batches; try again after 24 hours.
"Result Withheld": This indicates that your result is under investigation for potential exam irregularities. If this happens, you will need to visit the nearest official JAMB office for clarification.
The Portal is Not Loading: When results first drop, high server traffic can slow down the website. Try checking during off-peak hours (such as late at night or early in the morning).
What to Do Next
Print Your Official Result Slip: Once JAMB activates the printing portal, you can log in to your eFacility dashboard to print your official color result slip (which includes your passport photograph). This attracts a standard JAMB fee of ₦1,500.
Monitor JAMB CAPS: Log in to the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) regularly to monitor your admission progress, accept or reject admission offers, and upload your O'Level results.
Prepare for Post-UTME: Keep an eye on your chosen school's website for their Post-UTME registration guidelines and cutoff marks.
