JAMB Announces Mop-Up Examination Date for 2026 UTME
"JAMB has scheduled a mop-up examination for candidates who experienced biometric verification challenges during the main UTME."
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the 2026 UTME mop-up examination will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026. This special exercise is designed exclusively for candidates who were verified biometrically at their centers but were unable to complete their examination due to technical malfunctions or center-specific irregularities that occurred during the main testing window.
Candidates falling into this category have been urged to confirm their eligibility via the JAMB portal. The board clarified that this opportunity is not open to candidates who missed their scheduled sessions due to lateness or failure to follow instructions. Applicants are expected to print their notification slips starting from one week before the scheduled date to confirm their specific center location and time. The board remains committed to ensuring that no qualified candidate is disenfranchised due to technical errors beyond their control.
Participants are advised to arrive early at their designated centers and follow all safety and security protocols. Biometric verification will once again be strictly enforced at the entry point of every examination center. JAMB reiterated that all standard regulations regarding the use of prohibited items, including mobile phones and electronic devices, will remain in effect. Failure to comply with these rules will lead to immediate disqualification. Candidates should keep track of the official JAMB social media channels and the official website for any further updates or necessary adjustments to the examination schedule.
