JAMB Clarifies UTME Result Verification Procedures for 2026 Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified the channels through which candidates can access their 2026 UTME results. According to the board's spokesperson, Benjamin Fabian, the process is streamlined to ensure that candidates receive their scores directly on their registered phone numbers. Candidates are instructed to send the command 'UTME RESULT' to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used during their initial registration.

Since the exam commenced on April 16, 2026, millions of students have participated across the country's 989 approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers. The board is currently processing the results in batches. For candidates who have not yet received their scores, the board assures that they are working to conclude the evaluation process for the remaining sets of scripts.

It is essential for candidates to be wary of fraudulent websites claiming to offer result upgrades or unofficial score changes. The official portal, portal.jamb.gov.ng, remains the only verified source for authentic exam information.
