The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially scheduled the 2026 UTME Mop-up Examination for June 13, 2026. This exercise is strictly reserved for candidates who faced verifiable technical issues during the main examination conducted earlier this year. The Board has spent the last few weeks reviewing reports from various CBT centres across the country to identify those impacted by glitches, power failures, or system errors.
Candidates eligible for this mop-up examination will be notified via their registered email addresses and phone numbers. It is expected that the affected students will also be able to print their new examination notification slips from the JAMB portal at least 48 hours before the exam date. The board has assured all stakeholders that the mop-up exam will follow the same rigorous security protocols as the main UTME to ensure the integrity of the results.
For those who are not selected for the mop-up, JAMB notes that their initial status stands, and they are encouraged to proceed with the regular admission application process. The Board advises parents and candidates to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media.
