The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the date for the conduct of the UTME mop-up examination. This special exercise is exclusively for candidates who, despite being biometrically verified during the main examination window (April 16 to April 29), were unable to complete their tests due to unforeseen technical disruptions or administrative challenges.

According to the statement released by the Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the mop-up exam represents the final opportunity for these affected students to secure their results for the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Candidates are advised to check their JAMB profiles via the official website to verify if they have been shortlisted for this mop-up exercise. Attendance is mandatory for those whose initial results were withheld or cancelled due to technical faults at specific centres.

Candidates are warned against complacency and must ensure they arrive at their designated centres well ahead of time. Valid identification documents, including the 2026 UTME notification slip, will be required at the venue. JAMB reiterated that this process is free for eligible candidates and warned against any form of payment to third parties for 'special centers' or 'exam assistance.'
