The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has approved the disbursement of intervention funds for 2026 to 271 tertiary institutions nationwide. During a stakeholders' meeting on February 12, 2026, Executive Secretary Sunny Echono revealed that each university will receive N2,525,932,228.02. The funding is part of the 2026 intervention cycle aimed at modernizing laboratories, hostels, and establishing new centers for Robotics, Coding, and AI. The funds also introduce the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN) to improve global academic resource access.
