UNILAG Urges Candidates to Monitor Portal for 2026 Admission Guidelines

As the academic season heats up, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has issued a stern advisory to all prospective candidates who chose the institution in their 2026 JAMB UTME application. The university management, through its official registrar, warned students to disregard any unauthorized information circulating on social media regarding the immediate commencement of post-UTME registration.

While JAMB has released the 2026 policy guidelines and minimum cut-off marks, UNILAG is currently harmonizing its internal admission requirements. The university will formally announce its specific post-UTME screening date and registration requirements through its official university portal and reputable media outlets. Candidates are advised that the university does not use private WhatsApp groups or non-official Facebook pages to disseminate critical admission information.

Prospective students are encouraged to ensure that their O'Level results are correctly uploaded to the JAMB CAPS, as this is a mandatory prerequisite for any consideration in the 2026/2027 admission exercise. Any candidate whose O'Level results are not reflected on the JAMB portal will be automatically disqualified from the university's admission list, regardless of their UTME score.
