The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has joined other leading institutions in Nigeria to urge candidates to remain vigilant as the 2026/2027 admission process officially gets underway. Following the JAMB policy meeting, the university is evaluating its internal capacity and preparing to roll out its own screening criteria. Aspirants who selected UNIPORT are advised that the university's admission process is highly competitive, and meeting the 150 cut-off mark is merely the first step in the selection hierarchy.

As the academic year draws closer, the university emphasizes that merit will remain the primary driver for selection, and candidates who distinguish themselves in both the UTME and the forthcoming internal screening will have the best chances of securing a placement in their desired programs.
